44 wanted detained in Azerbaijani State Border

Azerbaijani State Border Service (SBS) officials detained 44 wanted people.

As APA reports, state border was violated 17 times last month and 10 Iranian, 7 Georgians and Russians, were detained because of violating the state border. 14 Azerbaijanis and a Georgian were detained because of breaking border regulations.

5 Turkish citizens,1 Pakistani, 2 Iranians, 1 Russian, 1 Sri-Lankan were detained for trying to cross the border with counterfeited documents, 2 Uzbekistanis, 2 Azerbaijanis and 1 Georgian were detained for trying to cross the border with documents of others, 15 Azerbaijanis were detained for not having required documents.

Besides, 11 Indians, 7 Iranians, 6 Turkish citizens, 3 Philippines, 3 Malaysians, 2 Pakistanis, 2 Syrians, 1 Vietnamese, 1 Egyptian and 1 Chinese were detained for not having visas and 4 Azerbaijanis, 1 Uzbekistani and 1 Kazakhstan citizen were detained and taken accountable as suspects.

In April, SBS prevented illegal smuggling of $1000, 70,030 boxes of cigarettes, 5 kinds of 43 jewelries, 4 kinds of 157 silvery household things, 31kg of caviar, 345kg of fish, 5 kinds of 17,722 lathes, a number of foodstuffs and industrial goods.
