No diphtheria in Azerbaijan

"Diphtheria is extinct in Azerbaijan and tetanus is close to extinction," deputy health minister Abbas Valibayov told journalists.

According to APA, the deputy minister stressed that support of the government is decisive in prevention of the diseases and it is planed to completely prevent measles and rubella throughout Europe by 2010.

Despite death facts is not high, measles and rubella are considered as dangerous diseases.
