Independent Azerbaijan University sues Education Ministry

The students protested against non-recognition of their university diplomas. They demanded of the university leadership that exact information should be given and the problem should be made clear.

One the protester organizers, Elnur Mammadov, stated that they don't believe the university leadership any longer, APA informs.

"The problem was caused by a quarrel among a group of people and students suffer this quarrel. They promise every time that the problem will be solved in a week."

Coming outside of the ministry, the university authorities tried to persuade the students that the problem will be settled soon. The protesters were invited to the hall of university. Mr. Mammadov said that Independent Azerbaijan University founder Abbas Mustafayev promised the students that the problem will be eliminated in a week. Mustafayev told them that he has sued the Education Ministry and the result will be known shortly. If the court passes an illegal and negative decision, he will also join the students to protest.
