Two more bridges constructed in Baku

As APA reports, the length of the bridge constructed in Tbilisi Avenue will be 270 metres, and the length of the tunnel will be 340 metres. According to the initial calculations, AZN 16 mn is planned to be spent for building of the bridge and tunnel in that territory. The bridge in the intersection of Ataturk and Z.Bunyadov Avenues will be 340 metres long and 23 metres wide. AZN 8 mn is intended for construction of this bridge. Construction of the bridges and tunnels in both territories will be completed in October of 2007.

According to the information given to journalists by the Deputy Minister of Transport Musa Panahov, it is planned to build 9 passages and bridges in Baku.

"There will be no traffic lights on the bridge in Tbilisi Avenue. The project's value is AZN 16 mn according to the initial estimate documents. Construction will be implemented by the Azerkorpu Joint-Stock Company. Azerkorpu also is building the bridge in Azizbayov district. Construction of the bridge and tunnel will be started at the same time."

According to Mr.Panahov, building works will not impede the Metro and transport traffic. It is planned to change routes of some passenger buses crossing from the territory of construction.
