New York City Mayor celebrates Novruz

The Azerbaijan Society of America (ASA) told APA that prominent members of the Azerbaijani-American community and others attended.

Azerbaijan Society of America (ASA) was very pleased with the event.

"We at ASA are happy to have been the catalyst in making this important acknowledgment of Novruz a reality," ASA president Tomris Azeri said.

"It means so much to our ongoing work to make people in the United States more informed about the people and the culture of Azerbaijan."

Tomris Azeri also presented Mayor Bloomberg with an official invitation to visit Baku in the near future.
