World Bank and Health Ministry discuss funding of health project

The World Bank and Azerbaijani Health Ministry today discussed the conception of funding the project "Reforming health".

As APA informs, the project comprises several components like administration function in healthcare system, improving initial health services, funding of health, development of staff policy.

Hospitals will be built in several regions - Aghdam, Ismailli and Sheki in the framework of the project.

The new health project costs $40 million. The International Development Association will allocate money for 35-40-years with 10 years of grace period with 0.75% per annum.

The World Bank Board of Directors is expected to confirm the project by June this year.
