Rovnag Abdullayev, the President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), has confirmed the dismissal of two employees of McDermott Caspian Contractors, Inc. (MCCI), Ed Stank, the site manager, and Richard Davis, his assistant, were fired and to be deported this evening.

Two McDermott foreign officials to be deported from Azerbaijan according to the incident happened, APA reports.

McDermott was satisfied with the demand of SOCAR President and expressed regret for the incident and promised that urgent measures would be taken against these persons.

Chairman of the Trade Union of Azerbaijani workers Zakeriyye Rahimov told APA that Ed Steinke and Ricky Davis were to be deported to their countries by the first possible flight (at about 24.00).

Rovnag Abdullayev, the President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), has demanded the dismissal of two employees of McDermott Caspian Contractors, Inc. (MCCI), Ed Stank, the site manager, and Richard Davis, his assistant, who tore the posters with the Khojaly genocide and demonstrated disrespect to the memory of innocent victims of the tragedy, SOCAR announced.

It excited disagreement among local employees of the company, who ceased working with demand to take measures against these people.

The SOCAR announced that there was an initial agreement on the placement of the posters. The senior management of the company regretted for the happened and promised to take appropriate measures. Both employees of the company were dismissed and they will be sent to their motherland with the first possible flight. The local employees of the company continue working, the same source said.

As Trend reports, posters about Khojali genocide were hang on a special board allocated for internal use.

It caused disagreement between the local and foreign employees of the company.

President of McDermott Caspian Contractors, Inc. (MCCI), Ben Houser, held a meeting with the head of the Garadagh District Executive Power, on Friday, after an incident happened in the company.

President of MCCI apologized for the incident and two foreign employees of the company were discharged from site area.

Meanwhile, Mirvari Gahramanly, the head of the Committee on protection of oilers' rights, the Trades Unions of MCCI developed a stand dedicated to Khojali genocide, while the posters were torn by managers of MCCI. That insulted Azerbaijani employees of the company.

"It happened in the morning. This persons are already fired," Gahramanly stressed.
