Police Department of Gusar:"Anvar Valiyev who was killed in Dagestan as terrorist is not Azerbaijani citizen"

Anvar Valiyev, one of the leaders of Kaspiysk "Jamaat" organization, who was killed by militiamen during the counter-terror operations in Kaspiysk, Dagestan on 7 February turns out to be resident of Yukhari Tahirjal village of Gusar region.

According to Anjela Martirosova, vise-chief of press service of Interior Ministry of Dagestan, Anvar Valiyev was in federal search. He was accused of illicit drug traffic, robbery and other crimes.

Official of Police Department of Gusar region refuted the information in his statement to north bureau of APA. He stated that, Anvar Valiyev's father Vidadi Valiyev was born in Yukhari Tahirjal village of Gusar in 1958. He moved to Kaspiysk city of Dagestan in 1979:"Anvar Valiyev has never been Azerbaijani citizen. This person has never lived in Tahirjal village of Gusar."
