07 February 2006 [03:37] - TODAY.AZ
Residents of Mukhakh village of Zagatala can't use drinkable water for 5 months, since last September.

As APA reports, the problem was caused by the infection found in the water pipe to the village from the mountain. Several artesian wells in the village are out of order too. The residents have to consume turbid water of the river running through the village.

The villagers stated that they had applied to the administration of the region and some relevant organizations for many times. But it's given no results yet. They also underlined that they had staged protests outside the executive representation of the village and municipality many times. However, they had not been responded positively.

Head of the municipality of the village Sadig Inliyev confirmed the existence of this problem, but noted that it's not up to the municipality to implement renovation works.

"Water Supply Office of the region is to be busy with this," - said the Head of the municipality stressing that they did their best to solve the problem.

The Chief of the municipality also added that only one artesian well had been repaired. He complained of lack of energy for renovation works. According to S.Inliyev, problem will appear in the electricity supply if artesian wells are used: "Therefore, we cannot use artesian wells".

Water Supply Office of the region informed the local bureau of that necessary measures were implemented to remove the problems in water supply in Mukhakh village: "The problem will be solved as the result of renovation soon. The delay of the renovations was due to cold weather condition".

The executive power of the region told Sheki-Zagatla bureau of that relevant organizations had been given necessary instructions and the problem of water supply in Mukhakh village would be solved soon.
