Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources: "Gabala RLS causes electromagnet radiation to the environment"

24 January 2006 [04:08] - TODAY.AZ
"Gabala Radiolocation Station (RLS) has electromagnet radiation affect to the environment", Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources claimed.

The information says that Gabala functions in an impulse regime and use metric high frequency radio waves, APA reports. Plan-map of the territory was worked out by National Monitoring Department on Environment of Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources aimed at assessing electromagnet radiation affect of the station.

Residential quarters of Gabala and Ismailli regions were also included: "As any mobile phone, television station, electric wires of high voltage, household appliances, radar station creates electromagnet radiation area its round. This negatively affects environment. Influence of electromagnet radiation on biological organism is the most urgent research topic throughout the world".

Daily observations of the officials of National Monitoring Department on Environment indicated that radiation was 6-26 microR/h and 13-15 microR/h in Gabala (Normal is 14-23 microR/h).

According to the results of monitoring conducted in villages of Gabala-Amirvan, Biligh, Melikli, Sileyli, Kurd Eldarbeyli, Yenikend, Zalam, Kichik Emilli, Boyuk Emilli, Soltannukha, Yandjija, Imamli and villages of Ismayilli-Ivanovka, Galaya, Soltankend, Uchtal, Sulyan, Vandj, Gushenje, thickness of radiation is mainly normal.

The radiation is measured by a dosimeter "PROTTEK 3201" radiation-gamma device made in Russia which determines parameters of electromagnet radiation caused by satellite, mobile phone communication stations, cable and satellite transmitters and “DKG-01D”, “RRA-010 ALFARADA” devices which determine parameters of Alfa rays.

The ministry conducts negotiations with European companies in order to purchase efficient equipments for the purpose of creating mobile monitoring network.
