“Bureau of the National Center of Interpol will hold a conference in Baku on 1-2 February 2006.”

Madat Guliyev, the head of the Bureau told Trend about it.

“The forum will be held under the Kalkan project of the General Secretariat of Interpol which stipulates fighting with terror in the Central Asia and countries nearing it,” he underlined.

The first meeting in large under the project was held last year in Kazakhstan.

“It comes as the second event of great significance. Heads of the bureaus of Interpol based in Central Asia, European countries and The United States. Ronald Nobluan, the Secretary General of Interpol is also expected to be in attendance,” Guliyev underscored.

According to Guliyev, the two-day event is expected to bring together delegates for about 50 world countries.

The conference will also discuss new projects, proposals on combating the international terror.
