For the period January - November 2005 mines in Azerbaijan caused 9 deaths and 47 injuries

National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) for this period disarmed 3393 mines and UXOs. The mine actions involved 22 dogs, 138 field-engineers, 15 UXO operators, 8 paramedics, and 100 assistants.

Totally 20,234,814 square meters of area have been cleared so far. 11600 mines and UXOs were disarmed and 60,985 square meters of territory were prepared for de-mining by mechanical way in November.

14 mine/UXO explosions happened in the period starting January till November, 2005 causing 47 cases of injury and 9 cases of human death.

69 mine explosions have happened since September, 2001 killing 47 people and injuring 101.
