IAEA helps Azerbaijan to open radiotherapy facility established at Republican Oncological Center

Director of the Radiation Problems Institute of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) Adil Garibov told APA news agency that the goal of the visit is to participate in the opening of radiotherapy facility established at the Republican Oncological Center.

The center was opened in the framework of the project supported by IAEA. Radioactive emanation will be implemented for treatment of the oncological diseases by means of this facility. A.Garibov informed that the cost of this project of IAEA is over $ 1 million.
