Azerbaijan confirms 930 more COVID-19 cases, 703 recoveries

Azerbaijan has detected 930 new COVID-19 cases, 703 patients have recovered, and 12 patients have died, Trend reports citing the Operational Headquarters under Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers.

Up until now, 627,015 people have been infected with coronavirus in the country, 609,480 of them have recovered, and 8,541 people have died. Currently, 8,994 people are under treatment in special hospitals.

To reveal the COVID-19 cases, 8,566 tests have been carried out in Azerbaijan over the past day, and a total of 6,019,327 tests have been conducted so far.

Some 29,596 people were vaccinated against COVID-19 in Azerbaijan on January 18.

The first dose of the vaccine was injected to 3,044 citizens, the second one - 3,504 citizens and the booster dose – 23,048.

In total, up until now, 11,701,685 citizens have been vaccinated, 5,203,374 of whom received the first dose of the vaccine, 4,717,982 people - the second dose and 1,780,329 people booster dose.
