By the end of this year 390 IDP families will move from railroad cars and tents to newly built houses

Internally displaced persons who are living in camps for displaced-persons and railroad cars will be resettled to five newly-built settlements by the end of this year.

According to the information provided by the Social Development Fund of Internally Displaced Persons (SFIDP), displaced families will be settled at “Alibayli-1” and “Alibayli-2” settlements built in Aghdam. Currently they live in “Banovshalilar” settlement.

SFIDP plans to provide 390 IDP families with a new domiciles. Settlement “Safarlilar” will host 157 displaced families and another settlement of 72 houses will be ready in Agjabedi for the IDPs from Lachin.

The rest of the eight settlements will be ready by the next year. According to the President’s order 13 new settlements will be built for IDPs, 12 of them being built in Aghdam and one in Agjabedi. In general, 3860 IDP families will be moved from IDP camps and railroad cars to the new settlements.
