Majority of Azeries think that the country is on the right track of development

On October 25 the Caspian Resource Investigation Centre (CRIC) for 2005, publicized a report containing opinion researches that make possible to say that the population basically approves the course of the government.

35,6 percents of the population of Azerbaijan consider that the country is mainly on the right way of development. Only 0,6percents of population think, Azerbaijan is on the wrong way and 18 percents of respondents said that it is difficult to respond to the question.

The rest percents are distributed among the categories, which either refused to answer the question or did not know the answer. As the CRIC director Latif Kengerlinski said at the report presentation, it had been prepared in the framework of the Information Initiative Poll project, funded by the Euro-Asia Foundation for students and young scholars engaged in special researches.

Kengerlinski said that it is the second annual report, which contains the results of researches in education, healthcare, demography, migration and other fields. The major part of the population finds necessary to strengthen the country’s military power, to ensure political stability, to improve medical services, lowering the criminality level, migration, enhancing the corruption fighting and etc.

A considerable place is given to the demographic statistics. In Azerbaijan 29,30 percents of women and 15,80 percents of men are unemployed, about 70 percents of the population have incomplete education.
