Multiculturalism is what the world should seek today, ISESCO Director General Othman Altwaijri said May 18, speaking at the Third World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue in Baku.
“The time in which we live is critically important and requires the courage to hold a dialogue,” he said. “This dialogue can ultimately lead to mutual understanding and respect. Multiculturalism is something that the world should seek today.”
He said that the enmity, which is observed today in different parts of the world, contributes to the spread of terrorism and continues to extend.
The conflicts in the world today are used for gaining profit, according to Director General of ISESCO.
The 3rd World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue is being held under the patronage of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. The forum’s partners are UNESCO and the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations.
