KOICA, Azerbaijan Technical University boost coop

The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and the Azerbaijan Technical University are implementing a cooperation project within the framework of grant agreement on "The Establishment of Educational Information System of Azerbaijan Technical University" signed on October 12, 2011.

In order to implement the Project, Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) dispatched 4 Korean experts to the Azerbaijan Technical University, from January 12 to January 20, 2013, for installing equipments, testing the stableness, and transferring technical operation know-how to the University staff.

During the visit, the experts will install the ICT equipment before installing the developed education information system next week, and prepare an appropriate environment in advance for pilot testing. Also, the network engineers will provide the training programs, which include hardware operation and maintenance techniques.

The objective of the Project is to construct an information system for the University Administration, which is developed utilizing the latest Korean ICT. The system will serve as a foundation of automation of school administration, and provide on-line distance learning for the students.

The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2013.
