PACE co-rapporteurs meet Azerbaijan`s Justice Minister

Azerbaijan`s Minister of Justice Fikrat Mammadov has today met co-rapporteurs of the Monitoring Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Pedro Agramunt Font de Mora and Joseph Debono Grech.

They hailed cooperation between Azerbaijan and the European Council. Fikrat Mammadov briefed the co-rappourters on the modernization of the judicial system under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, as well as establishment of the new infrastructure, progress achieved on the implementation of the state-of-the-art information communication technologies.

The co-rappourters praised development of Azerbaijan, adding they were ready for comprehensive support of the country. They also expressed satisfaction on joint activity with the Justice Ministry.

The sides also exchanged views on the implementation of the European Convention on Human Rights, as well as just court, freedom of assembly, property rights.
