
All taxi cars, wedding palaces, automobile and furniture salons, sport and health complexes, health objects, recreation and entertainment objects, hotels, as well state bodies receiving taxes and state duties must be supplied with POS-terminals not depending on turnover and location.
This was planned in the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers on affirmation of “Rules of installation, usage and application of POS-terminals in the area of Azerbaijan” and “definition criteria of objects, in which POS-terminals will be installed”. In that decision, the objects required for installation of POS-terminals were defined. According to decision, all economy subjects of VAT payers must be supplied with POS-terminals (from the date of which taxpayer registered for VAT purposes), not depending on turnover and location. Besides, the enterprises specialized on vehicles and furniture sale, sport and health complexes, health objects, Recreation and entertainment objects, hotels, wedding palaces, petrol stations, points of ticket sale for passenger transportation and tourism companies must be supplied with POS-terminals. According to new rules, all economy subjects of the tax payers with the average turnover of more than AZN 2,000, as well state bodies receiving taxes an state duties also must be supplied with POS-terminals.
Finally, taxi cars also must be supplied with POS-terminals.
Under the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, all villages and settlements of Azerbaijan must be supplied with POS-terminals. So, Baku-Ganja and Sumgayit cities must be supplied with POS-terminals by 2012, Absheron, Mingechaur, Shirvan, Shaki, Lankaran, Yevlakh, Barda, Nakhchivan, Guba, KHachmaz, Masalli, GOychay, Shamakhi, Zagatala, Shamkir, Tovuz, Salyan, Sabirabad (excluding villages and settlements) – by 2013, other regions and cities (excluding villages and settlements) – by 2014 and all villages and settlements – by 2015.
