
Holding the Forum of Rectors of Diplomatic Academies and Institutes of International Relations in Azerbaijan is a good chance to provide more detailed information about Azerbaijan and true information about the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Rector of Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy (ADA) Hafiz Pashayev told journalists on Thursday.
According to Pashayev, geography of the forum has significantly broadened in recent years, and political changes in the world were among the topics discussed at the forum.
"It is important for us to use every occasion to provide true information about out country. As ADA rector I am particularly glad that this forum is held in the new complex of the Academy," Pashayev said.
***The Forum of Rectors of Diplomatic Academies and Institutes of International Relations offers an opportunity to present not only Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy (ADA) but the whole country, Rector of ADA Hafiz Pashayev said in his opening speech at the forum on Thursday.
He stressed that the forum plays an important role in institutions like ADA.
"I hope that we will be able to use contribution coming from this forum", Pashayev said.
He thanked participants for attending this meeting.
According to Pashayev, the academy life in ADA starts with this forum.
He said that at the academy they created energy aqnd environment centre and they plan to hold researches in this direction.
"Anually we hold an energy school, where the participants discuss different challenges and innovation," Pashayev said.
According to Pashayev, ADA has great plan to transform academy into full-scaled university.
"The country's leadership supported my idea to move direction of the academy also to the area of engineering. We plan to create two or three additional schools here within the nearest years and start new school year with new programs," he said.
A two-day Forum of Rectors of Diplomatic Academies and Institutes of International Relations, organized in the new building of Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy has today started in Baku. The Forum is attended by more than 90 rectors and deans of diplomatic academies of 60 world countries. ADA Rector and Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Hafiz Pashayev and Director of the Institute for the Study of Diplomacy at Georgetown University, USA, Paula Newberg are co-chairmen of the Forum. The forum is expected to discuss prospects for cooperation of diplomatic academies.
Guests will visit Sheki and Gabala within the forum.
