Georgian journalists will protest

Journalists of Georgian TV Company Maestro will hold a protest in front of the company office in the first microdistrict of Nutsubidze, in Tbilisi on Friday at 16:00 pm. The journalists said agiotage deployed around the Maestro prevent them to work effectively till now, which is, first of all, an obstacle for their professional activity.

"We realize our responsibility before the community. The society is waiting for our news, and they mostly suffer from these events," the journalists said in their statement. They believe that decisions which were recently made by various branches of government complicate the processes more than ever.

"We remind that warning made by the Interior Ministry's General Department on Dec. 7, 2011 to the founder of Rustavi Media Management Company Erosi Kitsmarishvili, to leave Maestro immediately is yet to be implemented.

The Municipal Court did not satisfy a demand of the Maestro owners to ban all kinds of action on behalf of the Maestro up to the completion of judicial proceedings on Rustavi Media Management Company was not satisfied by, they said in the statement.
