Another earthquake measuring 4.4 on the Richter scale took place in the Turkish city of Van this afternoon, the Sabah newspaper reported. According to preliminary data, no victims and damages are reported as a result of the earthquake.
Previously a strong earthquake with a magnitude of 7.2 jolted the Van Province on Oct.23 killing more than 600 people. An earthquake measuring 5.7 on the Richter scale with the epicenter in Edremit took place in the province of Van on Nov.9. The earthquake destroyed 25 buildings, including two hotels. As a result, 40 people died.
