
Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili plans to spend $120 million on the construction of a new city in Western Georgia, Lazika. The Black Sea coast is home to the Anaklia City and Kulevi Village.
Construction requires about $606-909 million. $120 million will be spent by the government in 4 years, the rest will be provided by investors.
45% of the country`s population is rural, this requires construction of new urban centers which will contribute to rural development. Georgian Prime Minister Nika Gilauri, Justice Minister Zurab Adeishvili, Agriculture Minister Zaza Gorozia already inspected the construction site observed the area.
