Turkey detains one of PKK leaders

One of the leaders of the terrorist Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) was arrested in Istanbul on Monday morning, CNN Turk TV channel reported.Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Bulent Arinc said that the name of the arrested has not been announced yet because of security. He said that the detained leader has much important information.

The conflict between Turkey and the PKK, which has continued for more than 25 years, put an end to lives of over 40,000 people. PKK is recognized as terrorist organization by the UN and the EU.
