Iranian military delegation arrive in Turkey

11-member military delegation led by Urmiyah border forces 1st class Commander Sayyed Vahid Musevi came to Hakkari to discuss the overall security of the boundaries of the two countries and the trade, CNN Turk reported.

Then, Turkish and Iranian delegations held a meeting closed to the press at Hakkari Governor's office, there discussed border security.

Speaking before the meeting the Governor Muammer Turker said: "The Islamic Republic of Iran Urmiyah Border Command and Hakkari Governorship usually hold meetings every 6 months, like we today made in Hakkari. Mr. Sayyed Vahid Musevi is carrying out this responsibility with us for 5 years and we have the joint work of the last 3 years. He was promoted to a higher office. I would like to thank Mr. commander for their work and wish you success in this new position".

Speaking through an interpreter Sayyed Vahid Musevi said:"I pray God to give mercy to those who died in the earthquake in Van, I wish condolences to their families. Our meetings are now dominated by a security firm. First of all, the Governor of Hakkari and the border forces of both parties wish success to God. I hope that our meeting of border security will be effective for the two countries", he said.

The meeting closed to the press section to continue with a discussion about terrorism. The Iranian delegation is expected to leave tomorrow.
