Iranian President's advisor arrested

Iranian President's Media Advisor and IRNA News Agency Managing Director Ali Akbar Javanfekr was arrested, Mehr News Agency reported.

The Tehran Court branch No 76 sentenced Javanfekr for a one year in prison on Sunday. He was also banned to conduct media activities for three years.

Javanfekr is also the editor-in-chief of the "Iran" newspaper. Javanfekr could apply to the Appeal Court within 20 days, but Iranian Judiciary System decided to arrest him before his appeal.

Javanfekr was charging on publishing subjects and pictures against Islamic norms on Khatoon special supplement.

Khatoon special supplement is published along with the "Iran" newspaper.
