Iran builds new UAV

The Iranian Pardiz Technology Organization has built a new multifunctional unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) for military and civil usage, ISNA quoted Organization Head Ehsan Rahmanian as saying on Friday.

The "Shirdal" UAV has a total weight of 30 kilogram and the most payload capacity of 10 kilogram. The plane is capable of reaching 200 kilometer/h and ascending to a maximum height of 12,000 feet.

The plane uses two types fuel - gasoline and special aircraft oil. The production cost of one UAV reaches $50.000.
