Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani says that the Majlis deems it necessary to revise Iran's cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency, Mehr news agency reported.
Larijani made the remarks during an open session of the Majlis on Sunday in response to the IAEA's latest report on Iran's nuclear program, in which it is claimed that Iran appears to have worked on designing an atomic bomb and may still be conducting secret research.
There is no new point in the IAEA's report, the senior lawmaker said, adding Iran had previously answered all the questions about claims mentioned in the report.
Iran cleared up all the ambiguities over its nuclear activities under the modality plan signed by Tehran and the UN nuclear watchdog in 2007, but the agency has changed course and raised issues, which had previously been settled, he said.
Larijani also said that the IAEA's report has been prepared so hastily that Russia, China, and the Non-Aligned Movement member states have described it as baseless and destructive.
He went on to say, "The Majlis warns the IAEA that it regards such an approach as open hostility and (believes the agency) is following the orders of the Unites States and the Zionist regime, and deems it necessary to review the way Iran is cooperating with the agency, because the agency has shown that cooperation or non-cooperation will not affect its inept decisions."
So it is necessary for the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee to thoroughly examine the issue in cooperation with relevant organizations, he stated.
In addition, he said the fact that the U.S. and Israel have created a commotion about the issue suggests that the agency's move is "a link in the chain of their acts of adventurism."
In conclusion, Larijani said the Iranian nation ridicules the enemies' braggadocio but is determined to clear them out of the Middle East if they make any wrong movement.
