Georgia will establish a state commission to deal with the execution of the UN resolutions. In this regard, relevant additions were made to the Law on the Prevention of Money Laundering.
Under the bill, the commission will have the right to appeal to the court for imposition or removal of seizure of property of persons determined by the UN resolutions, related to terrorism or other unlawful acts so that to prevent them from financing acts of terrorism or support them in another form. To this end, the commission will actively cooperate with the relevant authorities of Georgia and other countries and international organizations, including the UN.
The relevant public authorities will be required to perform the Commission's demands. The government will determine composition of the commission.
