European Commission Vice President to arrive in Georgia

Vice President of the European Commission responsible for transport issues Siim Kallas and his cabinet members will pay an official visit to Georgia on Nov.17-18.

As the Economy and Sustainable Development Ministry told Trend, within the visit Kallas will deliver a lecture on "Use of transport for communication between the EU and its eastern neighbors." Lecture will be read out in English at the National Library.

The meeting will be attended by representatives of the European Commission mission, diplomatic missions, ministries, ports, shipping companies, as well as lecturers and students of the relevant departments of the universities.

Prior to joining the European Commission Kallas was Estonian prime minister, and earlier - finance minister, foreign minister and president of the National Bank of Estonia.
