Iranian President to discuss cooperation issues in Armenia

09 November 2011 [10:41] - TODAY.AZ
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will visit Armenia in the next two months, the Iranian news agency MEHR reported.

Several agreements will be signed between the two countries.

It was reported in June that President Ahmadinejad will visit Armenia, but at the last moment the visit was postponed. The Iranian presidential administration said that the visit was postponed by mutual consent, but according to the Iranian media, the lack of availability of some documents due to be signed was the real reason for the postponement.

On Monday, Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi visited Armenia and according to the Armenian media, this was in preparation for Mr Ahmadinejad's visit.
