Japan allocates USD 10 million for housing of Turkey’s quake-hit people

The government of Japan allocated USD 10 million for Turkey to construct temporary houses supplied with heating systems for the quake-hit people in Van province.

It considers construction of 1500 houses. Japan sent 500 tents to Turkey.

7.2-magnitude quake hit Van province of Turkey on October 23, 2011. 601 people were killed, 4222 injured, 188 were pulled alive from the rubbles.
