Armenia’s PM presents 2012 State Budget

01 November 2011 [16:51] - TODAY.AZ
Economic growth needs to be considered a priority in 2012, Armenian PM Tigran Sargsyan stated during the state budget discussions, which started at the National Assembly on Tuesday. As per Sargsyan, "transition from stability to economic growth" is one of the ideological foundations of the budget, News.am reported.

According to PM, the 5-percent economic growth, which is registered in the first eight months of 2011, bespeaks economic stability and makes the predicted 4.6-percent annual economic growth all the more realistic.

In Sargsyan's view, due to the Government's policy, the country's economy is more diversified now.

And concerning the 4.2-percent economic growth predicted for the coming year, and which is lower than the prediction for this year, Tigran Sargsyan conditioned this on the current adverse trends in global economy.
