Powers of Georgian honorary consul to U.S. terminated

The Georgian Foreign Ministry has terminated the powers of the country's Honorary Consul to the United States Lasha Darbaidze.

As Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister Nino Kalandadze said at a traditional briefing on Monday, Darbaidze failed to cope with his duties.

"The Georgian Foreign Ministry periodically monitors fulfillments of duties both by diplomats and honorary consuls.
