29 October 2011 [09:41] - TODAY.AZ
Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili has promised that the Tkibuli will be 100-percent employment city, Saakashvili said during a visit to Tkibuli on Friday."For me, the biggest holiday is to see people employed in Tkibuli," said the President.

The President said today he has opened in Tkibuli a new thermal power plant, which will operate with coal produced on the Tkibuli field by Gruzugol Company. The plant with a capacity of 13.2 megawatts per year will produce 100 million kilowatts of electricity.

"Prior to the Georgian-Ossetian conflict in 2008, we began to build a factory here, TPP, and when we were bombed, most of all I thought about whether this aggression and hate will not stop the revival of Georgia," Saakashvili said.

According to him, Tkibuli was a dying town, but today the population returned to their homes.
