Iran to host 1st international copper confab

The Islamic Republic of Iran will host its first international conference on the copper industry with representative from 30 countries in attendance, Press TV reported referring to IRNA.

According to the Iranian Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade, the three-day conference is scheduled to be inaugurated in the Iranian capital Tehran on Monday.

The confab is expected to gather more than 100 experts from all over the globe to discuss different topics related to the copper industry, including exploration, mining, processing, hydrometallurgy, safety, environment, and marketing.

The latest achievements of Iran's copper industry will be showcased in an exhibition on the sidelines of the conference.

The 30 countries whose representatives will attend the conference include Canada, Belgium, Chile, Australia, UK, France, Finland, Germany, India, Hungary, Turkey, Czech, Egypt, the Netherlands, South Korea, Japan, and Russia, will attend the event.
