Seven people including foreigners die in Persian Gulf boat wreck

The death toll reached seven people after a boat sunk in the Persian Gulf on Thursday, Mehr News Agency reported on Saturday. Two of the victims are foreign nationals. Ukrainian and Indian nationals were among those who died after the vessel they were on sank.

Six of 13 missing people are Indian nationals, who are reportedly still trapped inside one of the boat's cabin at 70 meters depth. They are still alive and they will be probably brought up hours later.

The boat with 73 people on board went down in Iran in a distance of 15 miles (about 28 kilometers) from Assaluyeh Port on Thursday night.

The vessel, belonged to the Pars Oil and Gas Company and used to transport staff and equipment from the South Pars field, was reportedly floating from the Persian Gulf's oil rigs to Assaluyeh Port.

Rescue helicopters and boats are still carrying out search work at the place of an incident.
At the moment, 60 people were found, 53 survived. Searching for the rest seven people is still under way.
