Georgian, Hungarian interior ministries to strengthen cooperation

Hungarian and Georgian police will strengthen cooperation. The agreement was reached during Georgian Interior Minister Vano Merabishvili's visit to Hungary.

During the two-day visit, he met with his counterpart, Peter Sandor, and Deputy Prime Minister of Hungary Tibor Navrachich, a source at the Georgian Interior Ministry said.

Hungary supports Georgia's territorial integrity and its aspirations for the Euro-Atlantic structures, deputy prime minister said at the meeting. "We exchanged experiences and discussed several issues, and talked about the modernization of the process that takes place in Georgia," said Navrachich.

According to interior minister, at the meetings, Hungarian interior minister's visit to Georgia was planned. "Conducting such visits is important for deepening cooperation," said Georgian interior minister.
