Iranian president leaves for New York to attend UN session

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmedinejad kicked off his visit to New York to attend the 66th session of the UN General Assembly, IRNA reported.

During the visit he will be accompanied by Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi, Energy Minister Majid Namjou, Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade Mehdi Gazafari, Minister of Cooperatives, Labour and Social Welfare Abdur Reza Sheikholeslam. It is Ahmadinejad’s seventh visit to the U.S. during his presidency.
