Turkish speaker: Iran, Turkey are keen on boosting ties

Iranian and Turkish officials are determined to enhance bilateral relations in all areas, Turkish Parliament Speaker Cemil Cicek said, IRNA reported.

Turkish speaker made the remarks in a meeting with Iranian ambassador to Turkey, Bahman Hosseinpour. Cicek noted that an enduring interaction between Iran and Turkey is necessary to help settle down the regional disputes.

Turkish diplomat expressed optimism that the timely visit of Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani to Turkey in the near future will help the two countries to further strengthen their parliamentary relations. Iranian ambassador in Ankara, Bahman Hosseinpour, submitted his report on enhancement of Iran-Turkey relations.

During the meeting, the Iranian ambassador presented the Iranian Parliamen speaker's official invitation to his Turkish counterpart to attend the International Conference on the Intifada in the Iranian capital. The International Conference on the Intifada will be held in Tehran from October 1 to 2.
