Iran tests new smart bomb

Iran has tested Gased heavy smart bomb during Velayat 3 drills today, IRNA reported.

Spokspersion of Velayat 3 drill Gen. Hossein Chit Foroush said 2,000 pond-Gased bombstested successfully by F-4 fighters.

The Iranian Air Forces started the next three-day stage of Velayet 3 aerial drills Tuesday morning in the country's northwest, reported IRNA.

The third phase of drills ended Monday.

Different plane equipment, ammunitions and tactics will go under test in four phases during the 10-day exercises started in Northwestern Iran on Sept. 6.

An array of fighter jets, fighter bombers, cargo and transportation planes, including F-4, F-5, SU-24 fighter-bombers, Mig-29 and the logistic C-130 planes, will be used in the exercises.
