PKK militants kidnap workers in Turkey

PKK militants raided a construction site and kidnapped several workers in Sirvan town of the southeastern province of Siirt late on Thursday.

Siirt Governor's Office stated on Friday that militants raided the construction site of a dam near Kasimli village of Sirvan town, made propaganda of the militant organization, and then kidnapped eight workers.

Later, four of the kidnapped workers were freed, added the office. Militants also set ten heavy work machines on fire.

Operations are under way in the region.
