Georgia creates legal basis for purchase of SOCAR’s gas pipe Russia-Armenia

Georgian parliament initiated an amendment to legislation which would allow the government to sell shares of strategic facilities, such as a gas pipeline linking Russia and Armenia, the railway grid on international stock exchanges,  Pirveli news agency reported.

The project prepared by deputies Zviad Kukava and Michael Tskitishvili.

Earlier, Prime Minister Nika Gilauri said that 25% of the shares can be sold on the stock exchanges of New York, Warsaw, London. The Armenian press writes that Georgia is preparing a legal basis for the purchase of Azerbaijan-Armenia gas pipeline Russia.
