FM: Georgia to consider hotel issue diplomatically

Georgia will seek the taken away hotel located in central Moscow to be returned diplomatically, Deputy Foreign Minister Nino Kalandadze said.

She said that the hotel located in the center of Moscow was illegally taken away from Georgia. It will be put up for auction.

"We consider this as an interstate dispute," she said. "The hotel was in our property. It was taken away from illegally in 2006. Now it is sold at auction. This violates the Vienna Convention.

The Russian media reported that "Melody" hotel situated in Skatertny street in downtown Moscow was put up for auction last week.
