Armenian authorities make list of officials to be fired

Detention of chief of Armenia’s road police Margar Ohanyan will be followed by a new chain of resignations and arrests this fall, writes 168 Zham newspaper.

The newspapaer says that high ranking officials known as bribe takers will be either dismissed or arrested. Ahead of elections authorities will show the society and international agenices that they are combating corruption, News.am reported.

"Rumors say the government has drawn up a list of officials to be fired by the end of this year, among them Minister of Nature Protection Aram Harutyunyan,Gyumri Mayor Vardan Ghukasyan, Governor of Syunik region Surik Khachatryan," writes the newspaper.
