Russia does not intend to lift the embargo on the Georgian agricultural products, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Vera Kobalia said an interview with French La Tribune newspaper.
"The matter is that Russia itself would like to select those companies that would export products to the Russian market, which, in itself, is associated with corruption," she said.
"Free trade is very important for us," said Kobalia. In this regard, the minister said that Russian business is represented in Georgia. "The largest investment companies of Russia operate in Georgia, of which example is "VTB Bank". "We also export electricity to Russia, which points to our priorities," said Kobalia.
