Bodyguard of Armenian MP suspect in restaurant shooting

Bodyguard of Armenian MP was involved in a shooting in one of Yerevan restaurants.

Ashot Snjoyan was summoned to police as a suspect on Friday evening, representative of police Armen Malkhasyan told News.am. Snjoyan was released on recognizance. Malkhasyan did not reveal details about other suspects.

Ashot Snjoyan is one of the bodyguards of Armenian MP Ruben Hayrapetyan.

The incident occurred on August 15 in Harsnakar restaurant during a wedding party. Scuffle broke out between one of the guests and the employee of the restaurant. Norayr Atoyan, 33 and Varsand Mkrtchyan, 25 were injured in a skirmish.
