Iran lunches carbon fiber line for military system

Iran has today launched its first carbon fiber production line and its products will be used in the defensive systems, Defense Minister Ahmad Vahidi was quoted as saying by IRIB.

"The properties of carbon fibers such as high flexibility, high tensile strength and high chemical and electronic resistance allow to produce the new advanced defensive system," he said.

Carbon fibers can be used in construction of Nozzle heat shield, lightweight composite body of missile motor and wings and body of military and civil planes, he added.

Carbon fibers will be also used in construction of oil and gas platform, airplane and brakes for trains.

He noted that Iran achieved to establish a carbon fiber line in the country despite sanctions and this achievement indicates that Iran has no problem in reaching new technology.
