Georgian schools introduce course on "Road signs and traffic safety"

The new subject "Road Signs and Traffic Safety" will be taught in Georgian schools starting in the new academic year.

The textbook was created at the Patrol Police Faculty of the Police Academy. The teacher's trainings for the new subject began at the Police Academy and will last until the beginning of the new academic year.

The subject will be taught at all Georgian general educational institutions as of this new academic year in the frame of a memorandum signed between the Education and Science Ministry and the Interior Ministry.

Some 200 teachers have passed a training course. Today, the Deputy Education Minister George Chahnashvili and Police Academy Rector Hatiya Dekanoidze will hand over certificates. The event will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the Ministry of Education and Science.
